The first is a panel on the “Chippendale’s Director: The Designs and Legacy of a Furniture Maker” on Sunday, October 14 at 2:00 pm, the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1000 Fifth Avenue, New York. Femke Speelberg, Associate Curator, Department of Drawings and Prints, and Thomas Jayne, decorator, Jayne Design Studio, in conversation about the lasting influence of England’s most famous furniture designer. And, in November:
In celebration of a loan by the Wunsch Americana Foundation of exquisite objects representing fundamental moments in American design, Mitchell Owens of Architectural Digest will moderate a panel with leading artisans and designers, including Thomas Jayne, to discuss how the past informs and inspires contemporary design.
