Raised in Georgia then Northern California, Gretchen blends comfort and classical seamlessly in her approach to texture, color and space. After studying Art History in Savannah, GA she moved to New York City where she developed a career in TV commercial production. Gretchen also studied interior design at the Parsons School of Design.
Inspired by Van Day Truex, Emily Post’s The Personality of a House and her grandmother’s back issues of Architectural Digest, she loves shopping the markets and galleries for the perfect objects, fabric and furniture, both new and antique, to enhance the studio’s projects. Gretchen lives in Greenwich Village with her husband and two daughters. She’s been with Jayne Design Studio since 2015.
