We just received our copy of Living Floral by Flower magazine’s editor in chief, Margot Shaw. The book, which comes out on March 12th, is the perfect antidote to the late winter blues. Shaw has selected a group of designers and tastemakers with a “personal botanical point of view” (as described by Rizzoli on its site), sharing some of their work and advice on how to bring floral elements into decorating and entertaining. The chapter on Thomas Jayne highlights his appreciation of the organic connection between past and present and how nature influences design. He observes, “nature and flowers are bridges — they transcend all design elements, styles and class boundaries.”
The book is a visual treat and pleasure to read. We encourage you to get a copy at your local bookstore, or online.
