The Wall Street Journal has posted its selection of the best interior-design books for the holiday season and we are pleased to share that Classical Principles for Modern Design is on the list. Only 5 books from 2018 were chosen as the “year’s most giftable volumes” so we feel particularly honored to be part of this group of books that are, as WSJ states, most “likely to become affectionately dog-eared” and “truly please the compulsive room-rearranger on your list.” The five were picked for their differing aesthetics and attitudes with ours highlighted for taking the “sacred tenets of Edith Wharton and Ogden Codman’s 1897 Decoration of Houses” and “express[ing] them with 21st-century style that goes beyond the Vanderbilt manses of Wharton’s world.” You can read the article if you are a WSJ subscriber here or read the pdf on our site.
